The protection and enhancement of the magnificent environmental heritage of this waterfront community has been a major goal. In the original comprehensive Concept Development Plan, the planners were directed to chart a course that would control development and have the least impact on the environment. Although there have been refinements and revisions to the original plan, it continues to exemplify the development of the community harmoniously with its land.
